A leading footwear brand is looking for a Head of Design to drive the creative direction of its collections. This role is pivotal in defining the brand’s identity and ensuring innovation, trend awareness, and commercial success. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sneaker design, a keen eye for trends, and the ability to lead a creative team.
What you’ll do:
Define and execute the creative vision for footwear collections, ensuring innovation and brand consistency.
Research trends, materials, and technologies to develop forward-thinking sneaker designs.
Oversee the entire design process, from concept to final production, ensuring technical feasibility.
Collaborate with product development, merchandising, and marketing teams to align creative and commercial strategies.
Manage and mentor the design team, fostering creativity and excellence.
Maintain relationships with suppliers and factories to ensure quality and efficiency.
Present collections and concepts to leadership, buyers, and external partners.
What you’ll bring:
At least 7 years of experience in footwear design, with a strong focus on sneakers.
Deep understanding of footwear construction, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Strong trend awareness and ability to translate insights into commercially successful designs.
Leadership and team management skills, with experience guiding a creative team.
Ability to balance creativity with business objectives and market demands.
Proficiency in design software (Adobe Suite, 3D modeling, CAD programs).
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Fluency in Spanish and English; additional languages are a plus.
